PRODUCT STYLING WORKSHOP
Time: 9:30am - 12:15
Location: Satsun Cottage, Henley-on-Thames
Satsun Cottage, Henley-on-Thames
Join product stylist Sian Miller for a practical workshop on how to style your own products for a shoot and create eye-catching compositions.
This workshop will also work if you have a service as you can tell a story about your service offering through the clever use of props, guided by Sian and the Creative Duck team.
After a morning of hands-on learning, you will come away with creatively styled images for your social media feed.
Our venue is the inspiring home of interior designer and upcycler Lynne Lambourne – with use of all the wonderful props that it provides.
The workshop will run as follows:
9.30am: arrive and coffee
9.45am: session 1 - the basics of product styling: composition tips, nailing your signature style, creating eye-catching visuals
10.30am: break for tea and cake
10:45am: session 2 – flay-lay demo with beauty products, followed by time to create your own shots with Sian’s guidance.
12pm - finish and Q&A
Please bring your own products to shoot, a decent iphone or camera and props such as tools or items that reflect your business/product. We will also be providing props at the venue.
Please note, photography tips will be shared but this workshop focuses on styling and setting up your own photos to be used in particular for social media. We recommend using a professional photographer for photos to be used for press and on your website.
ABOUT OUR EXPERT
On graduating in Fashion Design, Sian moved into fashion styling and worked as a product stylist with Net-a-Porter at its in-house studio. While working for Net-a-Porter, Sian began working as a hair and makeup artist on the side, and she has since gone on to co-found her own beauty business, Brush Ltd. While Brush is now her full-time job, Sian still freelances as a product stylist with clients including Net-a-Porter and Ted Baker, as well as for smaller businesses for e-com and social media.
