The Eartha handwoven cotton dhurrie shoulder bag in turquoise and gold is a stunning boho-chic piece.
Wear it over the shoulder or tuck the strap in and wear as a stylish large clutch. Handcrafted by a woman artisan in a weaving village outside Jaipur, a dhurrie rug is first woven on a handloom in the traditional way. The dhurrie is then made into the stylish Eartha shoulder bag ready for that party, night out or event. With the gold thread cutting through the turquoise cotton, it's a geometric style icon.
Every piece is a one-off and never the same as another, so the exact positioning of the pattern will vary as the bag is cut from one large dhurrie. The Eartha may come with some minor weaving nuances which we believe add to their character and tell the story of the crafting process. Styled with a thin discrete strap, a fold over flap and metal popper closer it's a neat and luxurious bag made to last.

WHAT MAKES ME SPECIAL?
Slowly handcrafted on a hand loom in a small village workshop outside Jaipur by a skilled woman artisan the dhurrie is then transformed into a stunning clutch. The cotton is first dyed by hand, then the women get to work with the coloured threads on the handloom, with the waft the weave of the loom and the foot pedal a mesmerising dance of skill.
Originally as part of dowries, the ancient tradition is sustained and the women are able to work safely outside the home and provide an additional income for their family. The dhurrie is then cut and tailored into the stylish clutch bag design ready to be loved an admired. Its charm lies in its naturally flawed finish and unique colour variations. Each one is individual and slight imperfections are natural in this slow, intricate process, making it unique and yours alone.
